Snälleröds is the name of a private distillery
in the south of Sweden.

The history started in 1901 when the farmers around Snälleröd mansion built the distillery for local production of akvavit. It survived until 1971 when it had to close down, not until 1992 Snälleröds came back, when Eric Berntson named the first akvavit Snälleröds. It was also the first privately owned Swedish akvavit since 1917 when the monopoly was founded.

Today as in the old days we make our akvvit in a handicraft manner, as we want Them to taste as Scandinavian akvavits used to taste.

We currently offer 3 organic akvavits:

Mäskdrängens akvavit
Organic crystal clear akvavit in 500ml 40%abv

Brännmästarens akvavit
Organic golden coloured akvavit traditional flavours
And a touch of oak aging. 500 ml 40% abv

Snälleröds Besk Original
A slight green colour, made of organic spirit, from the bitter sweat
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthum). 500 ml 38% abv
